Sun Burgers
Ingredients
4
cups old fashioned or quick oats or a combination of both
1
cup ground sunflower seeds
1
cup pecan meal
(pulse
seeds or pecans in food processor until coarsely powdered)
1
onion finely chopped
½
cup low sodium soy sauce
1/8
teaspoon cayenne pepper
½
teaspoon sage
1
teaspoon thyme
1
Tablespoon nutritional yeast flakes
1
teaspoon garlic powder or 1-2 garlic cloves minced
1
teaspoon onion powder
2
cups water
Directions
Mix
dry ingredients and then add water and Braggs. Stir until the mixture is well
mixed and then shape into patties using ¼ cup or use a lid of a sealer jar.
Place patties on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake at 350°F for
20 minutes, turn over and bake another 10 minutes.
This
mixture can also be made into a loaf. Stir
well and pour into an 8x8 baking dish. Bake for 40-50 minutes at 350°F. Serve
with a mushroom gravy.
