The Best Vegan French Toast You'll Ever Eat


Ingredients

1½ cup soy milk
2 tbsp whole wheat pastry flour (or all purpose)
1 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes
1½ tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp cinnamon
Dash nutmeg
6 slices wholegrain bread

Directions


Mix soy milk, flour, yeast, maple syrup, vanilla, salt and nutmeg in a shallow bowl.


Dip the bread slices into the soy-milk mixture (about 5-10 seconds each side) and cook, either on a large, oiled, non-stick frying pan until browned on both sides or on a greased cookie sheet in a 400°F oven until golden on both sides, turning once.
